So this week was the week that training was due to start in earnest. With gym programme all prepared I was rearing to go and get used to this running busness. Thing is though something came up!! While on a walk last Saturday (16 miles so surely counts for something training wise, even it I wasn't running) got chatting to Drew about skiing and we both felt it had been far too long since we skied and that something should be done...

I short I ditched the gym session on Wed in favor of skiiing. Had a great time though in spite of the coaches on the slope (free at Xcape wed mornings) having LOTS to say about my technique!!!

I discovered  some useful information about what shoes to wear the day after your first bit of skiing in 5 years, not high heels!! I spent the whole of thursday thinking 'This isn't too bad, my legs don't ache at all' until I took my shoes off at 11 at night AAARGGH! Flat shoes the day ofter heavy excercise in future I think.

I did make up for it with a gym session yesterday and I'll be there again on Wed I will I will...
